HoneyBaked Sales
This is a yummy one! Students sell certificates in denominations of $10 or more which can be redeemed at HoneyBaked stores nationwide. These are great holiday gifts for neighbors, friends and family (even those in other cities). HoneyBaked has lots of things to offer!! Certificates are good for a whole year and can be used for hams, smoked turkeys, side dishes, catering trays, even desserts!
Gift certificates will be available to pick-up in plenty of time for Thanksgiving feasting or sending to family and friends for holiday gift-giving. They're great for placing in corporate thank-you messages. Your student will receive 20% of their total sales. If your dues are paid, the money your student earnings will go toward their 2007-08 band trip or other designation of your choice. Christmas Trees & Wreaths
Our beautiful trees and wreaths will be available again this year! Santa's Trees, Inc., a locally owned tree business, has been providing our trees for the past 6 years (and for 31 years in Central Florida). They select premium Fraser fir trees and wreaths from one of the best growers in North Carolina. Wreaths are 24' wide, full and lush, handmade and undecorated. Trees are available in 6-7 or 7-8 foot heights, and larger trees can be ordered. For information or volunteering opportunities, please contact the chairperson at treesales@lymanband.com.
Winter Showcase Performance, Silent Auction and Live Auction
Winter Showcase will be held in December. It gives the band, dance team and color guard a chance to show off their many talents. All band classes perform, plus students perform music and dance of their own composition. It is an incredible evening!
It is also a major fundraiser for us! This year, we'll feature some exciting items during a live auction. Donors and corporate sponsors are encouraged. For more information, please contact the chairperson at liveauction@lymanband.com.
Guests will also be able to place initial bids in the silent auction on themed baskets before the showcase begins. At this time, donations of baskets are needed for the creation of the themed baskets to be auctioned. Also needed are items from parents, local businesses and services for the silent auction. Examples - two hours of tutoring or music lessons provided by a teacher/parent, manicure/pedicure from a local shop, a wedding cake or flowers from a specialty baker or florist, the list is limitless. The themes will be selected by each section of the band - flutes, percussion, etc. For information or volunteer opportunities, please contact the silent auction chairperson at silentauction@lymanband.com.
