The "Band-Aids" is Lyman Band Boosters' service arm - a way of expressing our care and concern in a tangible way to Band families going through a rough patch in their lives. Over the last two years we provided over 110 meals to seven families during a parent's prolonged illness or after the loss of one parent. As one of the recipients said, this gesture was "way more than food". If cooking is not your favorite pastime, meals can be bought from places like Costco and Boston Market. Gift certificates to restaurants are also appreciated.
In addition, the Band Aids organized a team to participate in the Relay for Life event held at Lyman raising over $2,500 to benefit the American Cancer Society.
Elaine Ashley (bandaids@lymanband.com) is the coordinator for Band Aids. To help out, you can email her directly or send a note via the form below.
