The Lyman Marching Greyhounds thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  We hope you'll take a few moments to learn about our organization and how the young students of our school, through our music and dance programs, develop into future leaders and contribute back to the community.

Like many schools in our community, Lyman High School is dependant on businesses like yours for contributions of services, auction items, advertisements and financial donations so that we can maintain our programs.  But before we get to that, we'd like to show you what it means to be a Marching Greyhound:

- Moving up to high school can be a turning point in one's life.  The welcoming friendships and mentoring from the upper classmen of the band takes away any apprehension and makes the student feel part of something very special.

- The "Band-Aids" is Lyman Band Boosters' service arm - a way of expressing our care and concern in a tangible way to Band families going through a rough patch in their lives.  Last summer, volunteers particpated in a week-long Extreme Makeover for a special family.  We also created a team for Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) and raised $2,500.

- Being a member of a marching band teaches you how to work alongside 250+ other students towards a common goal.  This is a time for teamwork and dedication...everyone is depending on you. Together, you earn SUPERIOR ratings for your team!

- You have to reach deep down inside for individual performance excellence as you work to represent your school in both county and state music festivals.

- You travel with your peers to represent Lyman AND Longwood at various events ranging from a community parade to the Disney Holiday Parade, the Daytona 500 and even a national events like the Chick-fil-A / Peach Bowl and the wgi Championships.

As you can tell, we're extremely proud of our fine students and the how the marching band program at Lyman provides them with an opportunity to grow and contribute back to the community.  It is in that spirit that we look towards you...our business partners in the Longwood, Altamonte Springs, Maitland, Winter Springs and Lake Mary communities...to partner with us as we work hard to maintain our organization.  There are many different ways you can help us...whether it is something as simple as advertising in one of our programs or on the website, or providing a donation or service at one of our functions, we need your help now!

Below is a form...please fill it out so that we can keep in touch with you.   We would love to add you to the Marching Greyhound family.  Or, if easier, email us at board@lymanband.com . GO GREYHOUNDS!
